Being one of the few filter manufacturers out there, MANN-FILTER can provide the right wrench to remove virtually any spin-on filter. This is one of the services we offer our customers under the motto ‘Perfect parts. Perfect service.’
A proper remover wrench is a great help when replacing a filter because the filter remains tightly fixed to the engine after use, and it’s virtually impossible to unscrew it by hand. It won’t help treating it like a sticky jar lid either– it will take more than a tea towel to make it budge! Another difficulty is the rather confined space in the engine compartment. Some filters are difficult to access by hand because they are behind other parts. At times I’ve been driven to despair trying to reach filters, but the wrench will enable you to work in even the tightest of spaces.
As the name suggests, remover wrenches are only used for removing/replacing filters. There are detailed instructions, including some helpful pictograms, which you should follow when mounting and installing a filter.
Over the last few months we have worked with an external provider to design a special kit for our remover wrenches. The wrenches themselves have been included in our range for some time now. They used to be sold individually or in a box set. What’s new is that they can now be bought and stored in a sturdy plastic case. Workshops are the kit’s main target group. Of course, a private individual might also want to buy a remover wrench for their car – but how many people do their own oil changes these days?
The kit is being very well received on the market, and it’s the perfect solution for workshops looking for new equipment. The tool kit and the individual wrenches are available from all dealers that sell MANN-FILTER products.
